OUR CHAI
MASALA CHAI
Flavour Profile
Aromatic & Spiced
Spice Level
4/5
Our Masala Chai is a journey of taste sensations. From the first sip you’re greeted by the sweet and minty flavour notes of cinnamon and cardamom followed by the deeper, more robust flavours that you feel at the back of the throat from our fiery pepper, ginger and cloves.
Masala translated to a “mix of spices” which is what this Chai is all about. No other Chai perfectly encapsulates the strong notes of each spice and their combined flavour as well as a perfectly brewed cup of Chai Guys Masala Chai.
KADAK CHAI
Flavour Profile
Creamy & Indulgent
Spice Level
2/5
Our Kadak Chai's beauty is in its simplicity. The drink contains two spices - cardamom and cinnamon - and is sweeter overall than the Masala Chai. The superior minty Cardamom we source takes centre stage here, perfectly complemented by the cinnamon and the strong BOP black tea. More milk is used in the brewing process which gives this Chai a creamier texture. This Chai is most synonymous with “Desi Chai’’ - (chai found on the streets of India).
KASHMIRI CHAI
Flavour Profile
Mellow & Earthy
Spice Level
2/5
Flavour wise, Kashmiri Chai is vastly different to most other Chais. It uses green tea as opposed to black, and takes around two hours to brew correctly. Instead of the sharp flavours of either the spices or black tea, the beauty of Kashmiri Chai is in its subtleties. Made salty as opposed to sweet, its flavour is deep and earthy and is particularly warming in colder months. It goes excellently with crushed pistachios served on top and the spices that are used are cinnamon and cardamom albeit in lower quantities than our Kadak Chai for a more delicate flavour.
ICED CHAI
Flavour Profile
Chilled & Fresh
Spice Level
2/5
We do an array of iced Indian Chais at our locations. The most popular is our naturally pink Kashmiri Chai - different to our hot version in that this one is sweeter and has a beautiful caramel-like aftertaste. Our iced Masala Chai is a close second in popularity and packs a punch with a strong ginger flavour. It also tastes slightly sweeter than our hot version and is the best remedy for warmer temperatures (which occasionally happens in the UK).
